DEPUTY SHERIFF

The Real County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of full time Deputy Sheriff.  Candidate must possess small town values and must meet TCOLE guidelines for licensing.  Applicants must be able to pass a drug and psychological examination.  Applications may be downloaded from this web page or picked up at the Real County Sheriff's Office from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. NUTRITION PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Real County is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nutrition Program Director to manage the daily operations of our Nutrition Program and (2) Senior Centers. This leadership position is crucial in ensuring that we provide high-quality services to seniors in our community.

The Director will be responsible for maintaining strong communication with Real County elected officials, vendors and other community partners. This role requires someone who can manage various tasks, including client intake, monthly reporting and nutrition training. The Director will also play a key role in managing volunteers, overseeing the kitchens and meal services, and ensuring the health and safety of the program and its participants.

Additionally, the Nutrition Program Director will be responsible for creating monthly newsletters, menus, and other communication materials for clients and the public. The Director will also assist with meal deliveries to homebound seniors; help train staff and volunteers for kitchen duties; and assist staff in other duties deemed necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with clients, staff, county officials, and vendors. Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, basic bookkeeping skills, and the ability to manage staff schedules are essential for this position. The candidate must also hold a Food Handlers Certificate as well as a Manager’s Certificate, which can be taken online.
