DISPATCHER/JAILER

The Real County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the position of Dispatcher/Jailer.  No experience is required. Applicant must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a clear criminal history.  Applications may be obtained in the office of the Real County Sheriff from 8 am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, or downloaded from the link below.

DEPUTY SHERIFF

Real County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Deputy Sheriff. Candidate must possess small town values and must meet TCOLE guidelines for licensing. Applicants must be able to pass a drug and psychological examination. All applicants are subject to background and other investigations. 

 Real County Sheriff’s Office is a community and teamwork oriented environment. Real County is one of the most beautiful areas in Texas with the headwaters of the Frio and Nueces rivers. There are quality schools, churches, and civic organizations in the area. We are looking for a unique individual who wants to serve in a rural environment and is flexible to fulfill whatever duty is needed as a peace officer.

FLOOD PLAIN COORDINATOR

Real County is currently accepting applications for a qualified individual to serve in the capacity of Flood Plain Coordinator.  This individual will be responsible for implementing the community's local flood plain regulations and ensuring that the community is complying with minimum NFIP standards and enforcing any locally imposed higher standards.  The individual will require, review and evaluate flood plain development permit applications for all development required by the Real County Flood Plain Plan.  Responsibilities will include the investigation of violations of the flood plain plan and initiation of corrective action.  The Flood Plain Coordinator reports directly to the Real County Judge.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled and may be obtained in the office of the Real County Judge, Real County Courthouse, Leakey, Texas, 830-232-5304.
